The quick solution is to either do it back to them like rough bump them from behind or while they’re walking away, trip their ankles or kick the back of their leg so they fold when they fall. It embarrasses them enough that either you will get in a physical fight which means ding ding ding you get to beat the sht out of them or they just get more embarrassed when you’re laughing at how they fell.

"But what if I ______?" Jail. It's the same as anti-bullying policies in western schools. "Defending yourself" is considered escalating the violence (if the original attack gets acknowledged at all) so you're gonna be in trouble for picking a fight, whether you felt it was justified or not. Even just yelling or calling it out is seen as YOU disrupting and possibly scaring others. Meanwhile, the person who started it "is probably just having a hard time" and likely won't face any serious consequences.

I encountered one of these in Shinjuku a while back. Possibly the dumbest one ever though, as I was a lot fatter back then and had a good 50-100lbs on the guy - so it went about the way you’d expect it to. 😂
