Do you think they added these things to anime to encourage younger ( adult) viewers to cook at home or learn to cook at home? I like watching these as I have limited knowledge or experience in making Japanese style foods. I found a few things that inspired me to try a new recipe, and it was fun, exciting, and I learned some new things from it. There are still a few Japanese recipes that seem too intimidating to try yet, but maybe someday. 😁😏

I ate this A LOT when I taught at an elementary school in Korea for three years and when I would ask people about outside of the school nobody knew what I was talking about because everyone inside the school called in Hi-Rice, but then when I said Hayashi Rice to a Korean friend in December, she was like "oh yeah the Japanese dish". I was like "I have asked you since 2017"
