ohhh help me decide. home is going to have wood paneling livingroom, hardwood bedrooms/livingroom flooring. Flagstone flooring entry / kitchen. Warm wood tones. Was leaning towards stainless steel toned switch plates. Looking at these entry/interior handles. Keep debating if it’s to “hard” if that makes sense and could switch to egg style knob but was thinking same silver tone range.

I mean for a modern house sure. Period design would be (with exceptions) brass/bronze in all rooms and nickel and chrome in bathrooms and kitchen depending on time period (nickel before 1930 and chrome after). Again chrome existed in the 19th century but it was a LUXURY finish for the rich only until the 30’s and later.

only thing ordered is unlaqured brass items for primary bathroom. keep debating where to incorporate more unlaqured if i do switch plates silver tone, or if I should just make the switch plate near it unlaqured as well

I don’t think too many people pay attention to those things because when I went to my wealthy client’s home, I made a comment about his door knobs & he was pleasantly surprised someone actually noticed
