This bothers me! I have stressed to my daughter that your period is no reason to miss ANYTHING! Unless there are extenuating circumstances… a normal period under NORMAL CONDITIONS… … you are never going to miss anything. I do not ever want her thinking or believing that her period is gonna hold her back from something. Ever! In a million yeras

Some people have such bad cramps (me) like this (me) and my FEMALE Manager hates me (me) and apparently doesn’t know what cramps are

When I still had mine I went through a super plus tampon and overnight pad every 30 mins to an hour for a good 4-6 days of my cycle. And I had a few lighter days. I went two weeks before starting again. I had to have a hysterectomy. I wish people understood not everyone’s cycle is the same

I had to work from home during my period weeks for a while because I was getting facial hives at the start of my cycle. I can thankfully say I’m 6 months hive free from new birth control but I was thankful my work was so accommodating.

Definitely get an accommodation from your doctor for anyone who has this kind of situation, or intermittent FMLA if you qualify.

I get similar issues on my period. At one of my jobs the first day of my period I still had to work, I’m a chef btw. Throughout a 12 hour shift I had to keep running to the bathroom to throw up and I was struggling to move. Still wasn’t allowed to go home, I ended up passing out from the pain

I have tried to explain to people that my cramps go from my ribs to my knees from and back the first couple days, and they tell me there’s no way.. and it was worse before I had a baby.

My mom was this way! She had endometriosis! It was horrible! The things I seen her go through as a kid were terrifying!

Have you seen a doctor for this? And were your periods really irregular? Can you not track them and call in sick so they have more time to find someone? This manager sucks and I feel for people like this but I also see how it would be difficult to replace staff at the last minute

The first day of my period was ALWAYS a wasted day. I was in so much pain I had to be in the fetal position in bed until I finally threw up. It was so miserable. I had cancer when I was 44 and it sent me into menopause……I was never so happy in all my life.
