i was always so confused by Christianity being so pressuring on women and after reading a lot from books and internet I think that specifically Christianity was not against women but by the first church who didnt want to give any power to women. my example is magdalena gospel

Hey! For Buddhism there’s a bit of a misconception. Women aren’t viewed as roadblocks, the whole goal of Buddhist is to escape worldly attachment to achieve enlightenment and escape reincarnation (viewed as a cycle of suffering) an example being an attraction to women or men. Now becoming a monk would be great for someone but in no way does it excuse abandoning your family outright purely for pursuit of religious goals, As karma applies still. They’d want you to reach mutual understanding and acceptance on where everyone want their life to be. And of course! It still doesn’t mean you’re entirely not seeing them forever, that would be cruel. The Buddha specifically mentioned to treat every single organism, every person no matter what they are as if they were your mother because in Buddhist reincarnation, chances are they could’ve been! With every life everyone lived. Also Buddhism as a whole doesn’t want people to be attached to gender identities as well because our bodies are impermanent! We die our bodies decompose so there’s no intended bias against different sexes because the religion as a whole views every human as a reincarnated being, one who’s vessel is temporary and non defined by their genitals

A fact about Buddhism, Men are as much roadblocks to enlightenment for women as women are to men. It applies both way. It teaches about “detachment” from material desires, only then one will acheive Nirvanna. Yes it is harsh because it is supposed to be harsh. It is hard because it is supposed to be hard.
