I manage a “fast paced” work environment as an audhd person and I’ve had to restructure a lot of the language and put a lot of SOPs in place to help us stop building the plane as we fly it 😭 for my own good as well as for the good of others. I have clear expectations for response times and I give people opportunities to communicate in many different ways because I’m focused on setting people up for success 😤

I was in a job like this and my manager really made me believe that there was something wrong with me because I was “slow” compared to everyone else, but thinking back on it now a lot of it seemed like him blaming me for problems that he couldn’t be bothered to fix himself

I really appreciate this! I prefer jobs that keep me moving and active. I usually fall for the "fast paced environment" because I thought it would provide me with an active environment 🤦♀️no wonder I'm miserable 😭
