N52 can archive 350Hp higher pressure fuel injector system larger exhaust manifold on both sides. I drill a small 15mm hole passengers side exhaust manifold. at first exhaust blow some unburned gas I keeped using throttle body cleaner it cleared & clean rear oxygen sensor to recorrect fuel mixture. 290HP was archive tons of 220 KM/H 137MPH 7000 RPM 123 Mph 198KM/H HOLD for 5 minutes duration over 5x. with 3x Rev X oil Amsoil 5W30 + add a 1L 20W50 racing Oil one time. Royal Purple 5W40 8500KM (5300miles) oil change.

My first n52 in my 06 330i developed a mysterious misfire at 192k miles. So in with a 60k mile n52 from a z4 3.0si. In all fairness, I’m the fourth owner and at 150k ish miles, while doing the vc gasket I found the exhaust cam vanos motor unplugged. No lights on the dash the whole time. Do what u will with that info🤣
