Wanteks V2 :
(Spoilers!) This game is impressive. It's frightening, dynamic, and incredibly engaging as a survival horror. Often, that's where the specialty of these games ends—if they manage to scare you while maintaining tension, they're already good, but this game stood out from all the others in the series in that it evoked genuine compassion and empathy for the characters. The way Grace worried about Emily, and Leon's final words about staying with Grace and not abandoning her—all of this makes this game special, fulfilling not only from a gameplay perspective but also from a human perspective. Leon himself evoked compassion in me, and you could tell how exhausted he was. When he met Mr. X, he said how fed up he was with all of this, and then my favorite dialogue with Grace, where he pours out his heart and, with such pain in his eyes, says that it all started here, in Raccoon City, and he couldn't stop it. I also personally played through the bad ending yesterday, and I was so upset that even now I feel bad when I think about Leon's death. It all really connects you to the characters; you empathize with them and worry about them, you experience their emotions right along with them, and these TikTok edits only add to my love for the game. Resident Evil: Requiem is the best game in the series for me, definitely a 10/10.
