I need kagehina/shobio fans to stop misinterpreting that line 😭. Tobio said this during the National Training Camp arc, not after the time skip. Specifically, Tobio said “he’s (Hoshiumi)better than hinata” THEN several chapter later, he said “but you can fly higher” to Hinata. He’s acknowledging a fact (which is that at this point in the story, Hoshiumi IS a better volleyball player than Shouyo), but then afterwards, Tobio acknowledges that he believes Hinata can be better or fly higher than Hoshiumi. The whole point of those lines were to show that Tobio believes in Shoyo and was telling him about how good Hoshiumi is in order to motivate Shoyo to train harder because Tobio knows/believes Shooyo has the potential to be an amazing player, who’s even better than the next little giant. It’s not an angsty line at all, it’s actually shows Kagehina’s development and trust/belief in one another. SPREAD THIS!
