I’m from Johnson City Tennessee. It’s about an hour and a half to get up there. Once you get to the trail it’s around an 8 mile hike round-trip hike. It takes about four hours, but then you add on the time that you take pictures and run around so it’s really about five or six. Totally worth going there though it’s a very unique place. I took both of my children every single time and they absolutely loved it.❤️

There are two trails! Make sure you choose the right one for your skill level. One is very long and very hard. The other is still longish and challenging but half the length. The location is confusing for those in JC, it's def a good drive from there, but worth it! I hike it once a year!

One of my favorite hikes ever!! Definitely try to get there early. Parking fills up really fast for the shorter hike. It is mostly uphill but the trail is well maintained and beautiful the whole way through.
