in my early years of my life I would hear this same story narrated by my historian grandfather. the part of Darood after embarking in somalia was exactly identical to what is written in this book. according to the version of my grand father— Darood was a newly crowned prince in an unknown far land. Darod's two brothers ploted against him and exiled him off in sealed sail boat— whereby his long sea drifting journey ended in the shores of north eastern Somalia. Also The period Darood lived was much older than the advent of Islamic era.

I am part of the darod tribe. This is well known story. Most members of darod believe the story that Darod came from Arabia and the girl he married called donbiro. This is very well known

DNA disproves that claim. Somalia have no outside ancestors. Now a lot of Africans claim to have come from the so called middle east. This needs looking at professor. A lot claim Isrealite blood or Arab. But DNA says different.
