I will never understand why they made bus stops in the middle of the road like put it in a building complex or a shopping center less traffic and more safer

It makes sense if it was a 2 lane road but if a child has to cross a 4 lane road the bus should switch to the opposing side to let off no teen or child should be crossing a 4 lane road

Many drivers do not stop on the opposing side. I think some are confused about this. This is a problem. Sometimes i fear someone will rear end me. I put on my hazards.

Wait is that bus pulled all the way off to the side of the road? can't even see if the stop sign is out. there's something weird going on with that entire setup, if the intent is to keep children safe that bus should stay on the highway then if they expect people to stop? why would you pull all the way over onto the shoulder?

To be honest, I know you stop whenever there’s a school bus, but I do think it’s not a good thing to enforce in multiple lanes of traffic. If I was a parent, I’d either tell my kid to cross at next crosswalk (if junior high or older) or I’d be there to pick them up in my car or walk them with me at the crosswalk hand in hand. I can understand why driver 3 lanes over would think that stopped bus did not include her, though I do wish she would’ve just been honest about that to the cop than try to lie about not seeing the bus at all…Think it still would’ve been a ticket regardless though. I know they don’t take driving past a school bus with its flashing lights lightly at all 😬

I swear people think you only have to stop if you're behind the bus, too many people keep driving when they're the oncoming driver and it's fucking wild to me

I mean I get it it can happen you could miss something like that however it's not because it was hard to see it was because you didn't pay attention you know what else could happen a kid could come out in front of your car you could completely annihilate that kid in the center of that road ending a young kid's life and ruining that child's family's life for something they have to live with for the rest of their life. it's not a small thing people need to pay more attention to their surroundings when driving One small little mishap could cause a lifetime of issues
