Ai already uses a ton of water. If we use generative ai frequently in many schools, imagine how much bigger that will scale up. I think it’s great to teach them what it is, how to spot it, and what the different types are. And we should also be teaching the environmental impacts and to be discerning about when they use it and what kind.

I will unfollow any teacher or parent who uses GenAI, tbh. Some types of AI are ok, but GenAi needs to be done with. I love being able to search things up easily, I love spell check, I like the algorithm showing me things I enjoy, but chatbots and generated images are too far.

Before learning how to use it they should take a whole semester course taught by professionals on the irreparable damage AI does to our planet.

I actually somethimes use AI in my preeschool. In the cases when they ask very specific questions that i cannot find the answers to in a encyclopedia.

Definitely for middle school to highschool but I think teaching the kiddos to find ethical AI sites and how to use it in a positive and safe way!🫶💖

I think no matter how it’s used it will do (probable) irreparable damage to the environment. Who care if people are addicted to AI if they’re dying because there’s no food or water.
