Unpopular opinion but not supporting or agreeing with it doesn’t make you a bad person, going out of your way to attack people does. As long as you’re still respectful to others it’s fine. It’s not like in saying you don’t support you’re saying you hate everyone and hope they croak

I’m mostly commenting this to clear up for the religious part, not her actions, as someone who is religious myself. It’s completely understandable to not want to follow someone because their religious beliefs do not agree with lgbtq. Though as Christian’s we don’t hate them in anyway, as we’re called to love everyone. And saying ‘your religion isn’t an excuse to not support it’ is completely disregarding WHY we believe that. I’ve struggled plenty with it, I used to be part of the community and have friends still today who are in it.i don’t think they’re less deserving of good than someone who wasn’t in the community. I think there’s just a misunderstanding with that topic and I wanted to clear it up. Again that does not mean I agree with what she did or the comments posted that she did nothing about.

I think she did not deserve to get called out. As a member of the LGBTQIA+, it isn’t a big deal as long as she is not actively bullying people! Glory and DeathBringer and I think it is a mistake from Tui, and is practically cannon. I think she is somewhat in the wrong but the thing is her content is not actually homophobic, she has an opinion and I respect it but I don’t agree with her.

Religion isn't an excuse to be homophobic, the verse that "says" it's bad only says that if you ignore the historical context around it and apply it extremely broadly. The original quote was against adults sleeping with kids, not two people of the same gender being together. Also her expecting her religious beliefs to be respected while refusing to respect other people is hypocritical. Respect doesn't apply to one person's life but not another, and expecting your life to be respected while actively disrespecting other people's lives is very contradictory.

I don’t think religion should be a reason to be homophobic, she shouldn’t get harassed, but that’s just kind of a dumb thing to say. I don’t think there’s many religions that are actually against LGBTQ+, but if there are, that’s not really a good one to follow if part of it tells you to not like a certain group of people…

although you could argue her religion doesn't "allow" her to support LGBTQ that doesn't mean anything she is of age where she can make her own decisions and try to not be so closed minded. she said she didn't even want sundew's book to exist. religion is NOT stopping someone from completely being against gay people it's her choice to be this way and disregard the fact that wings of fire has many gay characters
