I know the feeling! I have been using drive safe and safe, with State farm. I had a car cut me off, causing me to slam on the brakes, I'm the one that gets penalized! I told them to take it off. I'll just take my chances with the regular rates! It's not worth the hassle!

I have it through Progressive and don't have this issue. I have stopped my car and used my phone, had my husband/kids respond to messages while driving, and used android auto/ apple carplay to respond to texts when im alone. I have been dinged for hard brakes more than anything else.

never use those from insurance! they are so wildly inaccurate! all it will do is raise your rates. we got rid of limu because they jacked our rates 3x the cost at a renewal what we were paying for nothing additional.

I dont know about liberty mutual, but I know most insurance companies give you the option to track with your phone OR a device that plugs into your cars diagnostic port. Thats why I always opt for the diagnostic port device

Progressive lets you note that you weren’t the driver on that particular trip if stuff like this happens so it doesn’t count against you. Oh, and their rates and coverage are better, too.

I have a perfect score on right track right now, but I called him to ask them a question… “If I pull over and put my car in park in a parking lot and shut off my car… How long until I can make a phone call?“ Their response was 10 minutes that is fucking bullshit!

I will absolutely never let an insurance company invade my privacy like that. Hell, if they had a tracker on my truck they’d probably drop me. The sensors think my garage floor is lava. I can’t pull forward into my garage because I couldn’t open my door, so I back in. I had to turn of the truck’s brake assist because it decided the floor was an obstruction I was going to hit and slammed me to a stop every time. Now it just beeps angrily at me.

If you let people track you you’re crazy. Thats forever. It’s not for a discount it’s to charge you more later. It’s shared and all the insurance companies will get the history.
