That works as long as the rear drums haven’t been adjusted. If they get their periodic adjustment like it’s supposed to you’ll have to backout the adjuster screw to clear the lip that wears on the drum or it’s yanking the shoes

Toyota does a lot great things but dang they didn't invent the wheel, that designed has been used by many manufacturers. Can't go blindly praising a company that also has 3.4L engine problems affecting over 230,000 vehicles 2022-24

i do quality control in a drum brake factory and after seeing the horrors other car manufacturers (mainly vw and ford) let pass through i only trust toyota😭
