"Johan Liebert" is the titular main antagonist of the psychological thriller manga/anime series Monster and the overarching antagonist of its light novel sequel Another Monster. He is an extremely ruthless, emotionless, vicious, callous, wicked and psychopathic serial killer whose life was saved by Kenzo Tenma as a child. He is also the older twin of his sister Nina Fortner. Johan has stated that his one true goal is to be the last one alive when the world ends—but upon rediscovering a children's book that appeared to play a major role in his past, he instead set his mind on committing the "perfect suicide", i.e. dying without leaving behind any evidence of his existence (with the possible exception of Dr. Tenma's memories of him, in order to destroy Tenma's faith in humanity). He was voiced by Nozomu Sasaki in the Japanese version of the anime who has also voiced Mello in Death Note, Tetsuo Shima in Akira, K9999 in The King of Fighters, and Eriol Hiiragizawa in Cardcaptor Sakura, and Keith Silverstein in the English dubbed version, the latter of whom had also voiced Hisoka Morow in Hunter x Hunter, Chairman Rose in Pokemon: Sword and Shield, Dr. Wily in the Mega Man franchise, Ougai Mori in Bungo Stray Dogs, Deag Grav in Doom, Hawk Moth in Miraculous, Masayoshi Shido in Persona 5, Deep Sea King in One Punch Man, Aaroniero Arruruerie in Bleach, Kurozumi Orochi in One Piece, Kimimaro and Isshiki Ōtsutsuki in the Naruto/Boruto series, Bartleby Farnum in Monster High: Escape from Skull Shores, Zasalamel in the Soul Calibur series, Hammerhead in Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and Monspeet in The Seven Deadly Sins. As a child, he was voiced by Yūto Uemura in Japanese and Julie Ann Taylor in English. While disguised as Anna/Nina, he was voiced by Mamiko Noto in Japanese and Karen Strassman in English. #monster #johanliebert #johanliebertedit #edit #animefyp - @johan.liebert58
