1.) Your REUPUTATION is everything in the beginning. How you show up and carry yourself is ALL that your judged on before you even pick up a tool. People notice if your complaining all the time, late, or shit talking, and it will follow you. Don’t be that person. 2.) Don’t get too close to co-workers. In the trades things change constantly. If you let yourself get to close it will only hurt you when they get pulled off a job or sent to a new one and you’re beside yourself. This one was really hard for me at first and obviously is a situational basis. I do have a work husband(he’s more of the wife) that I’ll be sad to say goodbye to at some point. 3. DONT LEND TOOLS. Let me preface this with only loan tools to someone you trust/ someone you know will replace something if it’s lost or broken.
