lol as a child of two moms who got divorced and remarried it’s always fun to say I have 5 parents. The donor, mom 1, mom 2, step mom, and step dad. But to be fair personally due to the nature of relationships I usually say I have three parents.

i grew up telling ppl i had 3 mums, bc i did, and at some point i realized what that meant (i wasn’t including my stepmom) so i stopped bc also my other 2 mums weren’t really in my life anymore bc my parents broke up (it’s a whole thing)

makes perfect sense if you listen. 2 original mums. 1 bio dad plus dad’s partner = 2 dads. original mums break up & get new partners (6 parents all up), but one of those couples break up (5 “official” parents)

i could argue that i’ve had 6, my birth mom and her eventual husband, my birth dad and his soon-to-be ex-wife, and the two parents that raised me. i’ve considered all of them my parents at one point or another

Doesn’t sound bad to be honest. Think of how many times your parents said no to something cause a) they couldn’t afford it or b) they didn’t have them. Between 5-6 you can pool a ton of money together and anyway of them could drive anywhere.
