After seeing a embalming on YouTube I decided to be cremated. I don’t understand why people feel they need to be put on display after death. I want to be remembered by what I looked like when I was alive not what I look like when I’m dead.

You should also explain the difference between what the law says and what a funeral homes policy can say. Just because you don’t legally have to be embalmed Doesn’t mean a funeral home doesn’t have the right to say “we will not do an open casket unless the person is embalmed“. So long as they’re being forthcoming and telling you that it’s a policy and not the law, that’s perfectly acceptable.
