Feel your pain. They don’t want stuff from Canada if it has to do with vehicle manufacturing even if more than 90% of the components are US, or even 100% US in origin.

Big brokers aren't always the best. I got held up at the border for 2 days recently with one item on my trailer because the international company that we were working for... well their broker didn't have the paperwork done properly

Which broker did you hire? We’ve had the best luck with Priority Customs Brokerage. But you probably would have been better off with a carnet because you can declare a vehicle and trade shows are an allowed category

We’ve had the same thing trying to get some US made equipment re-calibrated by the manufacturer in the US. Held for weeks with no answer as to why from the shipping company, then finally refused entry after we found it had been in a US warehouse for weeks. It then took almost a month get the equipment returned to us.
