@calmmoneycoach: Why Yale Only Expects 6% From Real Estate I used to own property. That was the thing people were impressed by. I sold it. The money's back in my diversified portfolio. Some of those funds already hold real estate anyway. Nobody's impressed anymore. But the numbers don't care about impressions. Yale nets about 6%. One office REIT peaked at $110 and ended at 2 cents. And the "low volatility" of private real estate? Mostly an illusion. Every claim sourced and fact-checked. But whenever I speak to any real estate investor they always brag about leverage and how much more you can make in real estate than stocks/etfs. Although I know leverage can work against you in the same way in downward trends. What’s your opinion?
