Literally had several rounds- told me they were moving fast. Final interview was amazing & the person even used verbiage that I got the job & she was excited to work with me. I reached out for a follow up since they were indeed moving fast with interviews & now it slowed down. I was just told they went with someone else that aligned more closely with what they’re looking for. Im baffled! I was so excited for this role & was told that I am exactly what they’re looking for. Granted, this was a startup & they were worrying me about the “workaholic” mindset but I confirmed my expectations due to responsibilities outside of work- they understood. Im sure they went with someone else simply because they want someone that will not have a life outside of work😅

Try two company’s… 3 levels of interviews for each… they both give offers… the one after reading it, was not the compensation that was agreed upon and when brought to the attention… offer was revoked. The second company after reaching out and agreeing to the offer and asking about the onboarding process and when they would like to begin… completely GHOSTED! Going on 1.5 years.

Currently: Four rounds of interviews each company and a case study for each one too is the norm now. Ridiculous that we have to do homework, meet with like 5-7 different people, culture fit, etc.

5 interviews and an assignment over several months. Asked if I could start the following month. Word on the street was they “thought I was really articulate and smart.” Didn’t get it.

I had FIVE rounds of interviews. After each one I was given glowing feedback either directly and they told to the external recruiter I was recommended by. The 5th round was a project presentation in front of 4 people including one I hadn’t met yet. After that I was given more positive feedback and asked to be patient as they had “an internal slow down that has nothing to do with your candidacy”. Weeks of silence followed by them telling the recruiter oh sorry we hired someone else for that role. Zero feedback, zero remorse.

Living it as well. 7 rounds and got rejected and now in another loop on my 4th. Starting another loop this week. It’s never ending and I can’t even get excited anymore because of the constant rejection

I had a very similar situation. After going through several interviews, I was then told that they really weren’t gonna place anyone in the role for another two months. I followed up with them before the two months was up and was completely ghosted. I have many stories.

I’ve been in the job hunt for over 5 months. How to recruiter ghost me 2 diff days in a row. Next interview is today and they want a full presentation of my capabilities. You can be rest assured I chopped that up so its summarized !!! They don’t deserve free work. If they ask me to send it to them, I tell them it’s proprietary! Shifting from engineering to caregiving quickly!
