Donor-conceived people (DCP) aren’t trying to sue our parents. 🤦🏻♀️Most of us recognize our parents were trying to make the best decisions they could within the system that existed at the time. Some DCP, myself included, are working to pass regulations so that everyone involved — donor-conceived people, recipient parents, and donors — has better protections. We are advocating for an industry with stronger regulation, greater transparency, and lifelong access to information, because that’s the world donor-conceived families deserve. As a donor-conceived person raised by a lesbian single mother by choice, I don’t think my mom is responsible for the challenging parts of my experience. I’m not upset with her and don’t want to sue her. I just want the next generation of families to have more support and fewer unknowns than we did.

No hate whatsoever because this is something I’ve considered off and on. How do you or did you navigate or not let the thought that the child could have many bio siblings out there? Does this worry/bother you at all?
