At $60K a year you’re not taxed at 30% 🤣 I literally just did my son’s taxes and he made $59,922.80 last year. His income tax deductions for the year was $10,868.20. That means he was taxed at a rate of 18.14% AND he got a refund of $2,200 which brings that rate down even lower. Where are you people getting your info from because it definitely isn’t reality. I made $220K last year and my total deductions were 39.09%

the Canadian tax system can seem expensive especially compared to the US but, the fact that it funds healthcare and other social programs is worth it. Just remember as a young healthy man, you're paying it forward. when you're much older you appreciate the benefits.

I make $150k and my average tax rate is 28%. If you are paying 30% on $60k you're doing something wrong. And if you're only making $60k you are underpaid not over taxed.
