This is not correct. There are yellow, orange and red ripening varieties of peppers. A yellow pepper will not turn red nor will an orange one. They all start off green, but orange and yellow are not half ripe.

nope its just genetics red peppers have genes that turn the peppers red so does yellow and orange it just means the general fir changing to that colour is absent or not express in the green pepper soecies
