@woodmanstudio: If you dye vegetable tanned leather — remember these 3 rules. Rule number one: surface preparation is everything. Clean it. Deglaze it. Don’t touch it with oily hands. Rule number two: thin layers only. Two or three coats are always better than one thick layer. And rule number three: always seal and buff. Without finish — the dye will rub off.
