The reason for Denji wanting female attention or whatever you wanna word it as is because he grew up in severe crushing poverty and isolation. He never experienced affection making him desperate for any form of touch. He never experienced things that normal teenagers experiance like having friends going to school so on. Overall though the reasoning for him feeling like that is Bevause physical affection is the only kind of connection he really understands. He confuses intimacy with love since no one has ever shown him healthy emotional support. So when a girl shows him kindness or attention it feels incredibly important to him. That’s why chainsaw man shouldn’t just be seen as a “gooner anime” because it has a deeper law behind it other than him just wanting to touch boobs. When I watched it for the first time I thought it was a lil weird but after learning a bit more about the backstory I understand that he was just misunderstood ✌️
