@morgantalksmusic: Hashimotos Thyroiditis just flat out sucks. I wondered if I was born with it. My dad went to a dr in 2010 and they realized he didn’t have a thyroid. They said it was “burnt up” however they never tested him for Hashimotos. I was always told due to my dads thyroid problem to monitor mine. I always did but no one tested for hashimotos. Last week I had my dad get tested. They said that it’s clear he HAD hashimotos at one time but it has caused so much damage by burning up his thyroid that the disease just kinda stopped progressing.. It gives me peace of mind knowing that the toxic people that stayed in my life (and are still in my life….) didn’t cause me to have an autoimmune disease from the stress they caused me.. It’s nice to at least have that peace of mind that it is genetic.. However it doesn’t change the symptoms. Hashimotos is life long and I am so bummed I have to live with it forever.! But it’s okay! 🥹 I’m thankful I’m young, (29) and that I am managing it early with medication. #hashimotosthyroiditis #autoimmunedisease #fyp #journey #thyroidproblems
