But sometimes I do realize I’m asking for too much for a friendship just bc I’m afraid of losing a friend again that I’m starting to hurt the relationship myself by being to anxious. I realize that not every minute they’re there for you. They have their own lives and own problems too. Basically, the world does not revolve around you, so let people live too.

Today was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life. I stood there holding 1 silver medal, 3 certificates, 2 bar pins, and the title of being a college honor student — yet somehow, I still went home feeling invisible and crying. Maybe that’s why showing up matters so much. Because sometimes, the presence of the person you love — someone simply being there to cheer for you, hug you, or tell you they’re proud of you — can mean more than every medal, certificate, or any award. Sometimes, one person showing up for you can heal the loneliness behind all the achievements.
