No it’s not, you don’t want linear resistance you want exponential resistance like torsion springs in metal hand grippers

I have one of these. The problem with my hands is that the grip squeezing path is straight back and forth. A slightly curved arc path works better for me, like with the old school grips shaped like an upside down V.
