After putting the wet food into their bowls I add water to the can, swish it around to get all the leftover bits, and pour it equally into their bowls of wet food and serve. It gives an extra boost of hydration at every meal.

Tip; make plain chicken broth: boil chicken in water only (NO salt, NO onion, NO garlic, NO spices) boil slowly for 90 mins to 3 hours. Cool, remove ALL bones, freeze in ice cube trays.Deforst and add 2 or more cubes to food each day. Cats often don’t drink enough water; the broth increases moisture intake, helping hydration and supporting kidney and urinary health.

Our pets didn’t have diseases in the 1800s-1900s. Think maybe it’s the very expensive food we’re sold to feed our pets? Same as what we’re sold to feed our families?!?!

My 16 year old has kidney disease. He has for almost 2 years. He’s on meds and the renal food and his labs are back to normal. He HATES the renal food though so I do give him wet food as well that’s not renal food just to try and make sure he’s not losing weight.
