See, this is actually a common thing in Joshua, Texas. As a donkey gets older, it requires osmosis iron in its blood. Their circulation gets bad after a few years and they develop PAD. ( perifial arterial disease ). Not all donkeys get this, but if they do, it's devastating to the owner. You know donkeys are also sometimes called an ass. And if you're still reading this, I want to also tell you that this isn't true.

They are old water heaters. Probably draining the lime out before they get scraped. Putting the lime where the donkey feeds to keep it from sinking in the mud.

I just read that donkeys won't drink cold water, or water under 60°. Is he using them to heat water for her? lol Not knowing is really bothering me.

I wonder if it still got warm water in it and he's putting it next to her for her to enjoy the remaining warmth. I can't really tell but is there ever any steam coming off of water heater in the cold air?
