@petticoatlane_ldn: People of Petticoat Lane: Sid Strong Back in 1964, there was a competition to find the 'Best Market Trader in Europe'. And guess what? The winner came from Petticoat Lane. Sid Strong was a trader of crockery and glassware, with the fantastically named business, Strong's (Fancy Goods) Ltd. Sid took a ton of chinaware to this competition in The Hague, and he shifted the lot within an hour. Maybe his wares were amazing. Maybe his patter was spellbinding. Or, maybe it was his unique ability to throw a whole dinner service into the air and catch it without even a hairline crack (which we *don't* suggest you try at home).
