My naturally curly hair once those 80s perms went out of style. Clothes “too tight” when pencil skirts were the only skirts you could find at that time that weren’t mini skirts. This is in fashion industry. 🙄

I was most recently in a manager role. I expanded my team from 2 employees to 6 employees in 5 months and had them all trained on end to end process AND had them involved in process decisions since it directly impacted them. My boss had a conversation with me about “professionalism” while members of my team were speaking on calls because some of my team pronounced words differently than others. It was a direct attack on the non-white employees. It was the last straw for me.
