disabled people are some of the funniest people ever. knew a guy that was missing an arm and whenever someone went to shake his hand he would stick out his stump with a straight face just to see what they’d do. 99% of the time they’d just awkwardly reach out shake his stump. it made people so uncomfortable he thought it was hilarious

Im not making this up. I met a woman who lost her left arm and leg. I held back the joke until I thought i was going to 💥. Then someone asked her how she was, without missing a beat she said im all right now. The dopamine!

I saw a car pull up in a disabled bay. Guy got out, only had one leg. His number plate is PR05 LEG. I burst out laughing. He looked at me, looked at his car, giggled and gave me a thumbs up. Anything is funny as long everyone involved is laughing.

im a support worker my favourite client is non-verbal and still the sassiest person i know. They are a head and a bit taller than me and I sometimes have to get them to slow down. I will call out "hey slow down- i got little legs" they will stop, look at me, grin and walk faster, and then laugh when I have to jog to catch up 🤣

I had a deaf roommate in college. She was the QUEEN of deaf jokes and you should’ve seen the discomfort in people’s eyes when they weren’t sure if they were allowed to laugh 😂

I did something similar apparently when I was like six. My stepfather got us into an accident trying to swerve and avoid a semi (if I remember correctly, he was driving drunk). We flipped a bunch of times and landed in a ditch with the passenger door down. Paramedics got me out and I was completely unharmed and said with all the naive excitement of a child, "let's do that again!"
