If this was my business I’d cover everything and then I would sue the at fault party. They can’t buy anything until the dept is paid. Then I would redo my insurance with a better company that has UM.

uninsured motorist coverage should be included with the insurance of your company that covers your worker in any vehicle that they drive. your fault for rejecting um/uim coverage idk why people think money is going to fall out of mid air. read insurance policies.

I would probably find out what the total payout is through the customers insurance and try and match that with another vehicle that you have on the lot. Even if you end up losing a couple thousand dollars realistically you’re gaining a customer for life and their entire family because they’re gonna remember this dealership took care of us. They did everything in their power to make sure that we didn’t come out hurting they replaced our car completely.They went above and beyond and now not only are you fixing the husband‘s car but now the wife’s gonna go get a new car their kids are gonna get cars from you guys. You’re gonna build a lifelong income stream..
