I got & eventually stayed sober with methadone, then became a bad alcoholic over time. That's ironically how I finally got off methadone after 11yrs. My clinic randomly breathalyzed me & I lost my monthly pickups. Funny when I did get the sublocade shot, it was for alcohol. I continued to drink like an alcoholic - I felt more physically drunk without the pleasure aspect. Just wanted to put it out there that if you're ready to quit, the shot can help with alcoholism as well. I was not ready - I was looking for a magic solution. Also, don't get it in your 🍑. I could barely sit down for a week. 😅

OH! This is for the 300mg shot! The long term 100mg dose is literally 1/3 of the amount so it’s much shorter!

easy to get off! ive been on suboxone 10 years. it helps so much but definitely has some downsides as a 43 yr old male with all sorts mental health issues and hormane imbalances

For me methadone works best. It keeps me honest and I taper every week. I know people that get this shot just so they can still use and don’t have to worry about dosing at the pharmacy everyday. But whatever works for you good job 👍
