I don't want them either. it's like they think I'm bored and want to take on one more human financially and legally and mentally (although this part I kinda do). no fam. I don't want another kid. I don't want to be you. replace you. or have those legal responsibilities at all. I just want HCBM to be a better mom so that the consequences of her shitty choices stop hurting my household. that's literally all.

So I have a question. My conflict with my husband‘s baby mama is that she thinks that I can’t take him to the doctor I can’t take him to the dentist. I can’t be involved in anything that we need permission signed even if the Dad gives me permission to sign it. How do you feel about this?

You do have the right to a peaceful household, you do have the right to not be harassed the whole time your stepchildren are at YOUR house, your husband, the kids, father does have the right to his children, even though he is married to you … so yes you don’t have legal rights but you do have the right to be treated fairly

Cause I have a POA and can take my son to doctor appointments and dentist appointments, any appointments, I can sign in absence of dad. If it’s needed we have it as a back up cause dad works and mom is an absolute deadbeat and lives several states away completely useless to ask for her help. Her response for us asking for any type of help is to pop out another baby with her boyfriend who is her 8th child with her 6th baby daddy. So she’s useless.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to jealousy, not even safety or love. They see us as competition. I tried befriending my kid’s stepmom and dealing only with her because at the end of the day….i want every person possible to love my kids. I don’t want your man sis…ew.

I don’t want legal rights…I don’t want the responsibility. But bio mom fought with me to add her kids to my insurance plan through my work because it was a better plan and cheaper for the bio parents. I just don’t understand…
