I currently own and am using the new S26U. I do not experience this issue, and I have the privacy screen only turned on when I receive a notification or open certain apps. Also, of course, you'll see pixels if you zoom in with a camera; you see that with any phone, not just when looking at it with your eyes.

it's not that drastic, it's ever so slightly worse in terms of clairty but you wouldn't notice unless you literally have an s25 ultra next to it, other than that the overall display is better in terms of color and banding. I haven't had an issue with it

yes they have to pixel shift when using privacy mode if its pixel shifted whem off its probably a software issue

I have s26 ultra. and used to have s25 ultra. I can't tell the difference. I think s26 ultra seems more hd for some reason for me.Maybe it's the AI or something.

I think it has a lot more to do with how the photo was taken then the screen. The first photo has the pixels blurred and the second photo is focused. because the privacy pixels are slightly dimmer than the wide pixels the camera focused on the brighter of the two and the contrast enhanced the difference. the OP's suggestion could still be true, But I think the picture exaggerates it

I think the post is bs. My reasoning: look at the text. one image shows the effects of smoothing and high resolution text upscaling. the other looks like a close up. you can get the same effect if you use the moire removal tool which smooth out the image to remove that banding effect

It’s a stupid decision, I don’t want my NEW and MORE EXPENSIVE phone to look more pixelated. The privacy screen should be an extra option like apples nano texture. Spend a little extra for the new features

This looks like a problem with the photo itself. The apparent image of the s25 ultra seems to be blurred in some way which hides any visible pixels. the apparent s26 ultra image then seems to be a more clear image of the screen. a side by side test with a microscope would likely reveal little to no resolution difference
