about the machines eating you - I work at a shipyard that builds navy ships. we have to wear a badge either clipped on or hung from a lanyard but the lanyards HAVE to be breakaway ones, or you could quite literally, as it has happened, get sucked into a machine. there have been some gruesome accidents at my job, from losing appendages to losing lives. People don't realize that bodies are only so tough...
