The world can be scary. In case it helps and didn't see the whole story arc...Alex Cabot went into witness protection and years later came back. That leader paid the price in the end and she was the one to help bring him down.

As someone who had a father who became angry and had ptsd off it I find shows like SVU to be trigger shows for people who have been through things. Not a fan
