It depends on what job I did tbh. If it was a medium - big job then I’ll always be neutral. But if it’s, let’s say, a battery replacement, then it’s likely (and has been) BS. Sometimes customers come back in hopes of getting free services or discounts.

99 Grand Prix came back after he wanted his power steering reservoir replaced(told him his rack n pinion needed replaced). WOULDNT YA KNOW he was loosing fluid......from the bad rack...that he didn't wanna fix in the first place 😂

I can honestly say after 10 years as a technician at various dealers. I have never had a comeback. I’ve had cars that I caught the issue before I sent the car and corrected it before I gave the back to the customer. I’ve had the usual “ever since you did my oil change, my brakes have a squeak” bullshit but honestly don’t consider those comebacks since it’s not anything I worked on and 99% of the time I recommend the brakes when I did the oil change and you declined them.

snapped a bolt in a head while replacing a water outlet on a ford transit connect. took me one whole day drilling out and making sure it wouldn’t leak coolant. i never knew how to tap and re thread shit. and now i do. ppl hate seeing it as a comeback. look at it as a way of fixing your mistakes and learning from ts

I had one come back after I did transmission work to it, it was a Mack semi. My heart sank but come to find out it wasn’t the transmission it came back for a faulty cam sensor. Installed new cam sensor and he’s back to making money

I got a come back from another employee he quit. (a hose was leaking that should have been changed) and it just came back again for me. this time the intake manifold got fluid going thru it for some reason and broke at the bottom.

Any good tech will have pride in their work, ive fucked up an electrical diag before nd spent days when it came back just tracing the 1 thing i over looked.. shit happens, there’s a satisfaction in getting shit fixed right, even if theres no appreciation for it

I got my car fixed for an engine leak. I was letting it idle in the parking lot and the entire engine was shaking and the rpms kept dropping and raising. It didn't even leave the lot. I told them and they pulled it back into the bay immediately. They forgot a seal on the intake. Super easy, simple and they absolutely did everything right. I only go to this mechanic 🧰

I change windshields and I had a customer say her wiper fluid isn’t working after changed the glass. (Which I didn’t touch anything with her wiper fluid or anything ) ( I simply cut out the glass , stripped the urethane, shot new glue (urethane) and set the new glass on the vehicle)… she took it to a dealership and they stated it was nothing to do with the window guy. Everything works until it doesn’t … when you’re the last person to touch the car they like to blame you without investigating. I know exactly what you’re talking about. Keep making these videos. Killin’ it!!
