"The worst moment in a parent's life, is when they realize, their children copy them instead of listening to them"

Exactly, The psychology behind behaviour is that copying is innate and that as humans are wired to copy what they see and hear, as it is how we learn and develop. Thats why positive role modelling is so important Making a child feel valued and appreciated, but also setting fair but firm boundaries. As they are no word of exaggeration sponges. They absorb everything (words, actions and vibes). Being competent , calm and confident with them really positively impacts their behaviour. They'll feel safe and will reflect that same energy back🩷

My comparison is that after working hard my entire life… everyone around me is at the same place (even though they had holidays and bought stuff)… because someone died and gave it to them… but there is no one to give me a leg up and so if I enjoyed life in the same way… I’d have nothing. This prove that life isn’t the same for everyone and so different people will act differently to stimulus too. This experiment was clearly skewed and is not accurate.

True but the opposite is true as well. Experience teaches that behaviour has consequences and consequences can be painful, thus we adapt accordingly. I do agree however that if we had all experienced the first scenario, then we might be better human beings all around. Sadly life is not like this, and would be boring without the colours that make us who we are.

Even though it can be a struggle/challenge in the moment when setting boundaries, the firmer but fairer we are, the whole lot easier it will be in their future, as they'll become competent, functioning and respectful adults🩷
