this is like the chalk cult that people, mostly professors but any blackboard users were way upset when the chalk company said they were shutting down. some professors ordered a lifetime supply and others bought every bit they could get their hands on for that day when they closed the doors, and was going to use that for part of their retirement. boxes were going for $300, even $400+ then the company was bought out by a fan and he was able to keep it going, with all the information, name, recipes, formula, processes, and the patents. there have been many products like this pastels, watercolors, colored pencils, any art supply really has that consumer pick best, and it's not always the most expensive, famous, or biggest, it's just the one that got everything right.
