Ohio House Of Horrors-As investigators continue piecing together what happened inside the home, many people in the Hamden community ar asking themselves the same question: How did no one know? Ohio House Of Horrors-As investigators continue piecing together what happened inside the home, many people in the Hamden community ar asking themselves the same question: How did no one know? Some neighbors told 13 News they were just as shocked as everyone else Josh O'Dell, who lives near the home, said he actually believed the house was abandoned Another resident, Charley Brown, volunteers at a local food pantry where the family reportedly visited every week. Brown said he would occasionally see several of the children with the adults, but nothing stood out to him that suggested the conditions investigators now describe Brown, who said he and his wife served as foster parents for roughly twenty years, told 13 News they had been trained to recognize signs of child abuse and neglect. Even so, he said he never suspected anything was wrong. He told the station,"Unbelievable, unbelievable. I just would have never, never thought this. Me and my wife were foster parents for probably 20 years and were trained to see things like this, but didn't see anything that would tell me that anything like this was going on." Another local business owner also shared her experience Carissa Gonzalez, who owns Papi's Family Pizza in Hamden, said her restaurant had delivered food to the home several times. However, she explained that the adults always came outside to pick up the orders, so delivery drivers never saw inside the residence. Gonzalez also said she frequently saw Elizabeth Siders at Dollar General and local gas stations. She described Elizabeth as quiet, verv thin, and said she often appeared to have poor hygiene. Taken together, these interviews paint an interesting picture. On one hand, some relatives now claim they suspected something was wrong for years On the other, several neighbors, business owners, and even someone with years of foster care experience say they never saw obvious warning signs. Those differing perspectives underscore one of the biggest unanswered questions in this case: how visible were the alleged conditions inside the home, and who, if anyone, could realistically have known what was happening?
