so the gross margin for grocery stores is between 1 and 3 %. the highly government regulated utility industry runs 20% higher. The water company where i live went from 10% profit margin to over 21% in a 15 year period. Mastercard and Visa run at a 50% profit margin. Personal loan companies have insanely high percentages from 17 to 34%. so why target grocery stores for any other reason than to grab headlines based on a narrative that was put out

can they do the same for rent and put a rent cap in all 50 states. Bc I'm tired of finding holes in the wall type of places and then the rent goes up 40% after the 1st year and is not worth it and you can't find anything else so you're stuck
