@trip.pulse: Chongqing isn’t a city. It’s a 3D maze with hotpot. 🌶️🔥 If you’re going — here’s what locals won’t always tell you 👇 🚉 Take the rail transit. Chongqing’s light rail cuts through mountains and buildings — it’s the fastest and most iconic way to get around. 👟 Bring flat shoes. You will walk. A lot. This is an 8D mountain city. 📍 GPS will fail you. Seriously. Ask locals. Be polite. It works better than maps. 🏠 Don’t overpay in Jiefangbei or Hongyadong. Stay near Lianglukou or Niujiaotuo metro stations. Around $15–20 per person can get you a high-floor river-view room — and you’re still close to everything. ✅ 2-Day Route Day 1: Jiefangbei → Mountain City Trail → Shibati → Bai Xiang Ju → Raffles City → Yangtze River Cableway → Xiahaoli → Hongyadong → Riverside Park Day 2: Chongqing Zoo → Graffiti Street → Eling Park → Testbed 2 → Liziba (train through building!) → People’s Great Hall → Guanyinqiao → Beicang Cultural Park → Jiujie Nightlife Chongqing is chaotic, cinematic, and unforgettable.
