Her honesty is refreshing. While I empathize with her pain and hate to see anyone struggling with symptoms, the "frolicking in a field of daisies" narratives around disabilities and chronic illnesses that I've seen so often aren't the reality many people are facing.

I have 3 different autoimmune diseases. You have to accept it. If you don’t, life can and will be miserable. You have to keep your sense of humor and positive thoughts/outlook. You’ll have good and bad days. When you get through the bad days, you’ll appreciate the good days that much more.

my grandmother suffered from MS for over 40 years, and watching the amount of dignity she had to maintain in order to do that was truly incredible. my hats off to christina for being brave enough to be honest about this! it SUCKS
