They literally flipped the food pyramid… and people are eating the opposite of what’s good for them. 🧪 Quick history lesson: 👉 For thousands of years, humans cooked with real fats:butter, tallow, ghee, coconut oil. Then in the last ~100 years, the “healthiest” fats magically became… industrial byproducts. 👉 1880s: Seed oils began as industrial byproducts (aka trash) 👉 1911: Companies like Pr0cter & saw a financial opportunity. They hydrogenated cottonseed oil and created Crisco - marketed as a cleaner, healthier alternative to animal fats like lard and butter. 👉 1950s+: the anti-saturated-fat narrative goes mainstream, and real fats and red meat get demonized 👉 1960s–80s, government bodies like the American Heart Association (AHA) promoted seed oils and low-fat diets heavily influenced by industry funding. 💔 The result? We went from eating almost zero seed oils 100 years ago to 10%+ of daily calories today. Seed oils are linked to: Inflammation, Obesity, Heart disease, Fertility issues, Metabolic dysfunction, which 115 million+ Americans are experiencing. But you? You don’t let corporations choose your ingredients. Your read the ingredient label and avoid processed foods. And you eat out at the only high quality restaurants!
